Mae'th fawr drugaredd Arglwydd da

(Salm XXXVI, 5-7. Priodoliaethau Duw.)
Mae'th fawr drugaredd, Arglwydd da
  Hyd eitha'r nefoedd wen;
A'th bur wirionedd cyrraedd mae
  Hyd bell gymmylau'r nen.

D'uniondeb sydd fel mynydd mawr
  Dy farn fel llawr y mor;
Dyn ac anifail gedwi di
  Heb ballu byth, ein Iôr.

Mor werthfawr yw'th drugaredd wiw,
  I'th bobl, O Dduw,
      trwy'r byd!
Am hyn y câr plant dynion fod
  Dan gysgod d'edyn clyd.

(Psalm 36:5-7. God's Attributes.)
Thy great mercy, good Lord, are
  As far as the bright heavens;
And thy pure truth is reaching
  As far as the far clouds of the sky.

Thy uprightness is like a great mountain,
  Thy judgment like the floor of the sea;
Man and animal thou savest
  Without ever failing, our Master.

How precious is thy worthy mercy,
  To thy people, O God,
      throughout the world!
Therefore the children of men love to be
  Under the shadow of thy cosy wings.
tr. 2018 Richard B Gillion
